Our Mission
Equine Assisted Services provide exciting and life-changing results for a broad range of individuals. By offering these activities in a safe and structured environment, Worthy Stables enables participants to experience independence, forge a relationship with a horse, and become a part of a community. A member center of PATH International, Worthy Stables adheres to the strictest safety standards and maintains the industry standards of education, accountability, and good practices.
Every participant at Worthy Stables is provided an individual curriculum to reach their goals, improve their situations, and become the best versions of themselves. Even in group sessions, we provide one-on-one teaching of individualized lessons and activities. The ultimate goals of all activities at Worthy Stables are independence, increased self-awareness and confidence, and ability to seek help and provide self-care as needed. The benefits of therapeutic horsemanship cannot be overstated and our goal is to share those with as many people as possible.
Testimonial:
"After taking a terrible fall, I had no intention of ever riding again. Things changed for me when I went to visit the stables and met the horses. I met Midnight, Katie, and Lowery. With their amazing patience, empathy, and perfect match of a horse, I RODE! Although I was nervous, I loved it and go back every week!" |
Testimonial:
“Emma Grace attended a week of “horse camp”. I remember pulling up to the barn for the first time. The look on her face was pure joy and brought tears to my eyes. For the first time in such a long time I saw the spark in her eyes. Since then we have enrolled her in therapeutic riding lessons once a week and she volunteers once a week. We have seen drastic improvements in her mood swings, self-esteem, confidence, ability to focus, ability to take on responsibility, etc. When I asked her why she loves Worthy Stables so much she said “Mama, I feel at home there. I feel like myself there. Hero (her favorite horse) is my best friend.” She’s a completely different child! My calm, kind-hearted, loving little girl is back and I owe it all to Jessie and her horses.” |
